Place your yard waste in any open top container (clean, no trash and not your automated cart), tie with cotton or hemp twine in bundles no larger than 3ft x 3ft x 3ft and weigh no more than 40 pounds or place in compostable paper bags which are available at most hardware or grocery stores. (NO PLASTIC ROPE, TWINE OR BAGS). No grass clippings, tree stumps, loose soils, sod, any wood or tree limbs over four (4) inches in diameter, human or animal excrement, noxious weeds or soil contaminated with hazardous substances.

During the fall season, all residents are reminded to deposit bulk leaves at the curb for pick up by the Borough Public Works Department. ONLY leaves will be collected. Recycling leaf waste must be done in compliance with state law. Any other yard waste such as grass or branches can cause serious injury to not only our equipment but also our dedicated crew. Please do not put them out with the leaves.

Borough Trash Hauler Gives New Regulations For Disposal of Mattresses and Box Springs
Due to the growing problem with bed bugs, the Borough Trash Hauler, J.P. Mascaro & Sons has issued new regulations for the disposal of mattresses and box springs. Effective immediately and in an attempt to halt the spread of bed bugs, all mattresses and box springs put out for disposal must be wrapped in plastic. The hauler urges residents to use the plastic sheeting which covers their new replacements bedding to wrap the old and unwanted bedding which is going out for pickup. It is important too that the closure end of the plastic be sealed with tape or other adhesive so that common bed bugs, if present, cannot escape and infect those involved in pickup. J.P. Mascaro & Sons hopes for full cooperation in this matter and warns that it will not pickup old bedding that is not wrapped. Residents were first told of the new regulations in early February of 2019 with a posting right here on our Website News and our carrier has requested that we renew the call with another reminder.
